FACILITIES AND ACCESSIBILITY
Downstairs, there are coat racks and some lockers. We advise you to leave your outerwear and bags there during the jams to keep the dance space clear.
Gender-neutral toilets can be found both upstairs and downstairs. There are no shower facilities in Elontila
Unfortunately, the space is not accessible by wheelchair.
Notice, that the participants of the events are not insured by Elontila. Take care your own insurances are up to date.
HOW DOES ELONTILA WORK?
Elontila is a completely non-profit, non-commercial cultural project. The goal of Elontila is to provide a communal space for sharing around dance and embodiment. The activities open for public are run entirely by volunteers, and a group of about ten people have committed to sharing the space rent at their own expense.
Your contribution from the jams are used cover running costs, such as electricity bills, tea and snacks and other occasional necessary purchases. The goal would be for the jam fees to also cover some of the rental costs in the future. However, we want to make the jams financially accessible to as many people as possible, and that is why the jam fee works on the 'pay what you can' basis. We want no one's financial situation to be an obstacle to coming to the jams, even if they are not able to contribute financially that much each time. However, your contribution is important to us in order to maintain the events. We trust that you will be fair to both yourself and the community.🧡
Contributions to maintain open events and support the continuity of diverse activities can be made on the spot, most conveniently in cash or via MobilePay.🙏🏻
